Levendulás eperlekvár / Strawberry jam with lavender

Albi viszi a zacskót. Beszállás. A hátsó ülésről hazáig hallgatom a szimatolást.

Since my peach-lavender jam last year was so delicious I thought I would experiment with strawberries. Attracting, fragrant and at last Hungarian strawberries are now sold all over the place, no doubt it's high season for strawberries. Coming home from kindergarden I stop with Albi everyday and the routine is the same. Get out of the car. Say hello to the strawberry man. Figure out the evening demand. Leisurely measuring, take off, add back, matching. I pay and smell. Say goodbye. Albi is carrying the bag. Get into the car. I hear sniffing from the backseat until we get home.

I found the last push on LIMARA's page. Her recipes are all great, I recommend them to you!
Don't always think of large portions, a few jars of jam can be made really fast.

This ceramic pot for fruit washing has holes in the bottom, I like it and use it frequently.

A maradék gyümölcsből eperturmix készült a Papának, mire hazaért. Ez most 15 szem eperből,
1 evőkanál cukorból és 2 dl tejből készült.

From the leftover I prepared a strawberry shake for Dad. It contains 15 berries, 1 tbl spoon sugar and 200 ml milk.

És a végeredmény, immár üvegekben. Annyira finom lett, hogy új sapkát is érdemelt :)

And the end result, now in jars. It is so delicious that it deserves a new cap :)

A sukorói orgonák / Syringa of village Sukoro

A kilátást a velencei tóra, a nádfedeles házakat, a gombóclevest a csárdában.

My grandmother's town in my childhood looked like this. When we opened the window in the morning or stepped out to the street, there was syringa scent everywhere...
I like this village, its wavy main street with the a church on each end. I like the view to the lake Velence, the thatch roofs, the dumpling soup in the tavern. It's so nice that the dwellers preserve the values, even when building a new house they follow the countryside traditions. We always come here when the syringa blooms, bring the little bicycle and take a walk on the silent streets. I recommend the surroundings also for longer hiking due to the proximity of the lake and the arboretum of Pakozd-Sukoro.
